I have a new bed, and it is utterly lovely....apart from one teeny tiny problem. The incredibly comfy memory foam mattress has shown me all too clearly just how large my backside has become over the last few months of total laziness.
This week I have enjoyed the pure bliss of lying starfish like in the middle of a King size bed, while MrHalf has been away on a course, having all the space I could ever want in bed has meant that when the evil alarm clock goes off I've tended to find that I've wriggled my way across to the far side where the pillows smell clean (I washed his after he went but haven't got around to doing mine yet), but since by morning I tend to be lying on my back snoring away happily the alarm means I roll across to beat the noisy implement of the devil in to silence, leaving a me shaped impression in the mattress. The problem quite simply is that when I pull the quilt off to make the bed the only part of that impression remaining is the bit where my bum has attempted to find the lower surface.....the crater left resembles the site of a small meteorite strike. That observation has further lead to noting that my work uniform has begun to shrink...strangely it has managed to shrink in proportion, with the exception of the legs of my trousers - they seem to have gained the fabric lost from the waistband!
The solution clearly is to eat less junk, exersize more, or go for lipo asap. Sadly with no spare money lipo is a shade beyond my reach just now so exersize and healthy eating it must be, I do wonder if walking to KFC a mile away instead of going through the drive thru counts though?

Post Holiday Blah
I suspect I'm not the only one feeling this way at the moment, traditionally a first post of the year should be a reflection on the year gone by and a setting of goals for the year ahead.
I'm not exactly going to break with tradition, last year was a year of small events which when I think about them add up to quite alot. The year ahead I suspect will have the same properties, difference being my location and who I'm with for most of it.
Mr Half and I are due to move in to a shared home soon, and then he is due posting and will be straight in to pre-deployment training which will mean I get the place to myself. And on that note I best get packing.
